Our History

AW Dynamometer is in its’ seventh decade of manufacturing high quality-heavy duty dynamometers.  With over 14,000 units sold worldwide, we are the industry leader in AG/PTO Dynamometers.  We also manufacture dynamometers for the diesel, gas engine and electric motor markets.

We are proud of our past and look forward to the future.  We know our success is based on our dedicated employee team.  With over 100 years of combined dynamometer experience, our qualified technicians are the best in the industry.

AW Through the Years - Dynamometer Pioneers & Innovators

2002

The Robinson family purchased AW Dynamometer from the original owner, Arthur Warsaw.  Art was truly a pioneer in the AG power testing market and his designs and knowledge led AW to be the world leader in the agricultural market

2004

Designed the first of many AW 2100S DynoPro Computers. This system increased the accuracy of dyno tests.

2005

Accompanied the AW 2100S with the first version of ETS software. This allowed customers to collect test data to use in reports and graphs.

2006

Introduced the first 800 Horsepower AG/PTO dynamometer on the world market.

2007

Invested in a machine shop renovation program including the purchase of new CNC machines.

2008

Developed the RTX Handheld control to replace dual manual load control valves. For the first time, AW customers could control the dynamometer load from a remote location.

2010

Introduced electronic control features on the engine and electric motor dynamometers.

2011

Purchased 40,000 square foot factory. The new site features a precision CNC machine shop, a complete welding and fabrication building, multiple assembly stations, and modern testing cells.

2012

Introduced platforms for collecting electronic thermocouples and sensor signals. And then integrated this information through the new AW2100S.

2014-2016

Designed the first prototypes of the AW2100SXT DynoPro Computer system. This electronic system features computer control of the dyno load through an electronic load control valve. Other features include thermocouple protection, water flow switch protection, and more.

2017

Designed software platform “ETSXT”. This software can be loaded on any laptop or desktop, allowing the operator control of the dynamometer from a remote location.

2018

Designed the AG.X series of AG/PTO dynamometers. Featuring the latest innovations such as the AW2100SXT data acquisition computer, electronic control system, and integrated ETSXT load control software. Click here to learn more!
